After graduating with the highest honors from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yeditepe University in 2015, where she completed her undergraduate studies with a merit-based scholarship, Dr. Reis pursued a Ph.D. in the Department of Toxicology at the same university, completing her doctoral studies in 2020.
In 2016, Dr. Reis began her academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Toxicology at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Pharmacy. During this period, she served as a doctoral fellow in two projects supported by TÜBİTAK, a TÜBİTAK 1001 project (2017-2020) and a TÜBİTAK 1002 project (2016-2017), both led by Yeditepe University.
Her research focuses on the toxic effects of cigarettes and alternative tobacco products, oxidative and inflammatory damage caused by thirdhand smoke, in vitro toxicology applications, phototoxicity, and biocompatibility testing. She has numerous publications and presentations on these topics nationally and internationally.
In June 2020, Dr. Reis joined Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Toxicology as an Assistant Professor. As of January 2025, she has earned the title of Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Toxicology.
