Negative pressure pulmonary edema developed as secondary to acute upper airway obstruction following tracheal extubation is an uncommon, but well-known complication. This complication is rarely associated with extensive alveolar hemorrhage. We report a case of postextubution, laryngospasm-induced pulmonary edema associated with alveolar hemorrhage following elective sinus surgery in early postoperative period. This case mainly treated by using non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
