Özet

Free vascularized fibular graft (FVFG) offers an excellent option for reconstruction of long bones in limb salvage surgeries requiring tumor resection of 6 cm or more in length. FVFGs facilitate rapid bone healing, allowing early mobilization and good function. In addition, FVFGs are associated with low donor site morbidity and safe return to adjuvant treatment. FVFG transfers are performed using a peroneal vascular pedicle for intercalary grafts and an anterior tibial vascular pedicle when the proximal epiphysis is involved. The epiphyseal transfer allows both length growth of the reconstructed segment and osteoarticular remodeling at the recipient site.
