Özet

Sensors based on conjugated polymers (CPs) operate by detecting the changes in the electronic and optical properties of polymers upon exposure to a particular analyte or physical stimulus. These changes can be detected and quantified, providing information about the presence or concentration of the target analyte. This chapter is focused on the recent developments in the use of CPs as transducers in the detection and quantification of target analytes. Relevant research published in the last decade is explored in terms of the fabrication methods, the description of the sensory polymers, and the transduction mechanisms. Sensors by product based on CP sensors were also summarized in terms of wearable and non-wearable systems integrated with POC technology. In conclusion, future perspectives and challenges are discussed.
