Hepatic lipomas are rare benign mesenchymal lesions. Combined use of radiologic modalities can affirm the fatty nature of these tumors. Since they have no risk of malignant degeneration, the correct radiologic diagnosis can save patients from unnecessary biopsies. Here a case of hepatic lipoma with characteristic ultrasound, CT and MRI appearances is presented and the differential diagnosis is discussed based on the previously reported literature.
