Abstract

As minimally invasive methods become more widely embraced, an increasing number of research studies are focusing on investigating the results of hernia repairs using different approaches. Within this framework, we present a thorough examination of the complex robotic abdominal wall reconstruction technique and provide an overview of the existing evidence.
Employing robotic technology in retromuscular ventral hernia repair, whether in conjunction with transversus abdominis release or not, offers a distinct advantage in reinstating the functional integrity of the abdominal wall. This advanced surgical method allows for precise reconstruction of the anatomical structure, ensuring a robust closure. The incorporation of a comprehensive robotic approach in the management of complex ventral hernia surgery aims to address technical challenges and improve ergonomics.
