Abstract

Calcinosis cutis is a pathologic condition with precipitation of clystals of calcium phosphate, calcium hydroxyapatite or calcium carbonate in the dermis or subcutis, ectopically. Digital calcinosis cutis circumscripta (DCS) is a very rare type of calcinosis cutis. These lesions are localized on the fingers, elbows and extensors of the wrists. In this case study, a 16-year-old boy who was complained of DCS accompanied by pernio and severe hyperhidrosis is presented. The patient is the first reported case in the literature as a unique example of the post-traumatic DCS that is occurred on the basis of hyperhidrosis and pernio.
