In this chapter, currently available robot platforms are presented; the reader is given an overview of the fascinating variety of systems that exist alongside Intuitive around the world. A distinction is made between multi-port platforms and single-port platforms. Finally, the challenges and opportunities of robot-assisted hernia surgery are discussed: the empowerment of the surgical team, team building and mentorship, but also the issue of costs.
