Primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) affects 1% of reproductive age women, and is characterized by a severe decrease in ovarian reserve prior to 40 years of age. Currently, oocyte donation is the only established treatment modality for women with POI. In this study, we aimed to determine whether intraovarian injection of autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) improves follicle development, response to ovarian stimulation and in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcome in women with primary ovarian insufficiency (POI).
