The aim of this study is to determine the depression level of the 12-15 years school-age children group and the effect of perceived parents attitude on the depressive symptom level. This is a defining research and the sample group is composed of 132 male, 110 famele which makes 242 adolescents selected by the non-probability sample way. By the intent of gathering data, the inguiry form composed of adolescent gualities and prepared by the researchers, the inguiry form made of 7 articles guestioning the adolescent perception of the parents attitude and determining the adolescent perception of the parents attitude, and finally the Children's Depression Scale made of 27 articles prepared by M. Kovasc (1981) and written in Turkish by Belma Oy (1990) were used. The cut point of the Scale is 19 and the Chronbach Alpha of the original Scale is 86. In our research, an inguiry form prepared by researchers that asked adolescents to determine the parents attitude was used. According to that, the results points taken from the Children's Depression Scale and the Mother's attitude towards the adolescent were compared and a meaningful difference (t= 2.289, p= 0.023) was found between the adolescents' result points who accept or do not accept the mother's attitude as "she doesn't pay attention, sometimes 1 think she doesn't like me" Also in our research, the result points taken from the Children's Depression Scale and the father's attitude towards adolescents were compared and meaningful difference (t = 2.310, p= 0.022; t= 3.533, p= 0.001) was found between the adolescents' result points who accept or do not accept the father's attitude as "he's nervous, peevish and hard to please", "he's tough, puts pressure on me and he wants me to obey every word he says.
