The MFD-GG003 task group has prepared a quality control and assurance report for Tomotherapy/ Radixact devices. This published report summarizes the main test contents and application methods of the primary report. The purpose of this report is to standardize the quality control tests and methods recommended by manufacturers and international guidelines for Tomotherapy/Radixact devices and to provide recommendations for medical physicists in radiation oncology clinics to establish safe and effective quality assurance programs. The quality control tests are categorized under headings such as mechanical tests, water phantom tests, film tests, solid phantom tests, imaging component tests, and treatment planning system tests. For each test, the purpose, procedure, recommended frequency, and tolerance range are specified. Additionally, the recommended tests, along with their tolerance values, are listed in tables for daily, monthly, and annual intervals. The suggested test frequencies and tolerance values were determined based on international references, manufacturer recommendations, and the clinical experience of the MFD-GG003 task group members. However, when establishing a quality assurance program for a clinic, medical physicists must make appropriate decisions for their own clinics by considering device characteristics and the treatment techniques applied, especially when modifying or determining tolerance values and test frequencies.
