Dr. Öğr. Üyesi YASİN YILMAZ

He earned his medical degree from Department of Medicine at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Yilmaz completed his residency in Pediatrics at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine between 2012 and 2017. After completing his mandatory service at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital, he completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2018 and 2021. Dr. Yilmaz began working as a Specialist Physician in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2022 and completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio State University, in the United States between 2023 and 2024.
While pursuing his residency in Pediatrics, Dr. Yilmaz earned a PhD in Advanced Neurological Sciences. In 2023, he began his second doctoral program in Palliative Care, which he is currently continuing.
As of March 2026, Dr. Yilmaz serves as a specialist physician (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Acibadem University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Yilmaz’s primary area of interest is Pediatric Neuro-Oncology (childhood brain tumors), and he also provides care to patients in the field of Pediatric Oncology (childhood cancers). Dr. Yilmaz has conducted numerous research studies, published articles, and participated in various projects. As of April 2026, his Google H-index is 11, Google i10-index is 12, and Web of Science H-index is 8. He is currently conducting various studies in the field of neuro-oncology.
