Breast Imaging Clinic Clerkship:
Participation:
· Image analysis with the doctors
· Participation to the examinations
· Participation to the biopsies
· Half day visit to the breast oncology clinic
· Half day visit to the oncology clinic
· Half day visit to the chemotherapy unit
· Half day visit to the radiotherapy department
· Half day visit to the nuclear medicine department
· Half day visit with the oncology dietician
· Participation to the Tumor board (Every Friday at 8:00 am in the A - 5th floor conference room)
· Participation Radiology- Surgery – Pathology board meeting (Every Thursday at 12:00 in the A - 5th floor conference room)
Presentation:
The participant should prepare a patient and present it on Friday Breast Tumor Board
The participant should prepare a presentation (min 10 min - max 15 min) on the third Thursday Radiology- Surgery – Pathology board meeting at 12:00 o’clock on a given topic. The topic will be given in the first week of the clerkship.
Essay:
The participant will be asked to prepare an essay (minimum 300 words – max: sky is the limit) about his/her experiences during the clerkship in the clinic. The essay should consist of:
· Expectations of the participant
· Experiences during the clerkship
· The strengths of the program
· The weaknesses of the program
· Suggestions for the future
