The aim of BEAT is to conduct comprehensive research mainly on:

 the molecular mechanisms of two common neurological disorders; epilepsy and autism, 

 new therapeutic targets for the cure of epilepsy and autism

 implementation of behavioral and cognitive tests on laboratory animals,

 behavioral and cognitive comorbidities in neurological disorders, and

 new biomarkers for epilepsy and autism
