Özet

Aim : The aim of this study is to compare the results of standart laparoscopic donor nephrectomy with vaginal extraction (SLDN-VE) and laparoendoscopic single-site donor nephrectomy with vaginal extraction (LESSDN-VE).

Methods : We analysed the data of 95 female donors who underwent SLDN-VE (n=87) and LESSDNVE (n=8) at our center. Donor’s age, body mass index (BMI), duration of surgical procedure, amount of blood loss, warm and cold ischemia times, side of graft kidney, number of renal arteries and veins, postoperative visual analogue pain scores (VAS), length of hospitalization, donor and recipient creatinine levels at discharge and follow-up, donor and recipient peri- and postoperatif complications were compared between two groups.

Results : No significant difference in terms of donor’s age, amount of blood loss, warm and cold ischemia time, length of hospitalization, and VAS was observed between the two groups. The mean BMI was significantly higher in SLDN-VE group, 29.5, than LESSDN-VE group, 24.2.

The mean operative time was significantly longer in LESSDN-VE group, 163.1 min, than SLDN-VE group, 145.8 min. There was no peri- and postoperative complication for donors and recipients in both groups. Early and intermediate-term serum creatinine levels of donors and recipients were not significantly different in both groups.

Conclusions : Laparoendoscopic single-site donor nephrectomy with vaginal extraction can be performed safely in selected donors with better cosmetic outcome and no definitive differences regarding renal function.
