Özet

Painful tingling, numbness, weakness of the hands or upper extremities may be the result of the entrapment of a peripheral nerve. Although these problems are common, they sometimes lead to diagnostic and management difficulties. A thorough knowledge of the anatomy of the common entrapment sites, the pathophysiology of the nerve injury, a detailed history and physical examination together with electrodiagnostic studies usually lead physicians to the right management. Most common upper extremity entrapment neuropathies are encountered in this review. © neuroanatomy.org.
