Since research takes place within a social context, social, economic, and cultural values can influence scientific goals, resources, and practices.
Protecting health is a social responsibility.
In research, striving to work and produce objectively, impartially, and responsibly in an environment where public or private funds are used, profit motives, conflicts of interest, political concerns, and lobbying activities (HIV/AIDS, Embryo, drug research, etc.).
Researchers should be sensitive to illegal, law-violating, and irrational research and should avoid causing a loss of trust in society (HE Jankul, violations of research ethics).
In research conducted with support from the private sector, maintaining the principles of objectivity, transparency, openness, and social responsibility in the face of pressure to protect corporate interests. All these problem areas highlight the importance of supporting scientific research with values.
