Prof. AYÇA ERŞEN DANYELİ

- She was born in Ankara in 1978.

-She graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English Medicine) in 2003.

-She completed her specialization in Pathology in Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Pathology in 2009.

- During her residency, she completed her thesis at the University of California, SanFrancisco (UCSF)

on “Stem Cell Markers in Pilocytic Astrocytomas” with the support of a TUBITAK scholarship.

- Between 2009 and 2010, she fulfilled the state service obligation in Tarsus State Hospital Pathology Laboratory.

- In 2010-2011, just after her service ended, she had been trained in neuropathology and molecular pathology field at Mayo Clinic  Rochester.

- ShHe returned to Dokuz Eylul University as a lecture and consultant pathologist.

- "DiagnosticPathology-Neuropathology (Amirsys-Elsevier)", which she contributed as an active co-author in 28 chapters was published in 2012.

-Between 2012-2018 besides Dokuz Eylul University Pathology Department , she also worked as the Head of Histopathology Unit at Izmir Biomedicine Genome Center.

-She earned the title of associate professor in 2017.

-She started to work at Acıbadem University in 2018. She is a faculty member in the Department of Pathology and works at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital.

-In the field of neuropathology, she is also interested in neurodegenerative  and neuromuscular diseases as well as neurooncology.

- She has active role in  the development and validation of new tests in routine Molecular Pathology laboratory

- Dr. Erşen Danyeli is a member of Acıbadem University Brain Tumor Research Group. Current fields are;  pathogenesis and biomarkers of brain tumors.
