As far as we have reached, most of the studies concerning this topic are mainly biographic and descriptive works following a chronological account of the principal academic figures. Whereas a comparative approach has been adopted in this dissertation aiming to put forward the characteristic features of the sources on the basis of the translations, transcriptions and content analysis of the sources concerned. Therefore the analytical and comparative evaluation of the data has supplied us with important information about the scope, development and progress of Forensic Medicine education in Turkey.
